Past

A look back

It is hard to categorize Genis' past as it really isn't sad but it's not a cheerful one either. He was born in the elven village of Heimdall located in Tethe'alla to an elf, Virginia and a human, Kloitz. He also had an older sister, Raine. Being a half elf the village could not come to accept the two as they were once harmed by a half elf themsevles (Mithos). This caused the Sage family to leave the village.

Once the Imperial Research Academy heard of Raine's intellects they could not help but want her for their purposes. This caused the family to be on the run from one city to another hoping to avoid the Academy. When Virginia was at a dead end she decided to leave the two siblings at the Otherworldly Gate where they would travel to Sylvarant, a place where half elves aren't treated the same as the ones in Tethe'alla. They would not meet each other again until much later in their lives. Once they reached Sylvarant they landed close to Iselia. There Raine lied to the villagers claiming that she and Genis were pure blood elves so they could get in. From that day on Genis along with Rain would encounter different challenges in which they would try to overcome. However truth be told they were living a much better life on the other side of the world.
